Richard BertramTHORPEIt is with great sadness that the family announce the peaceful passing of Richard at his home on Wednesday 1st March 2023, just 3 months short of his 100th birthday. Beloved husband of just under 70 years, of the late Daphne, much loved dad of Roderick and Linda, father-in-law to the late Jennifer and Rob, devoted grandpa to Henry and Isabel, grandpa-in-law to Angela and cherished and much loved great grandpa to Beatrice and Dorothy. Richard will be sadly missed by his extended family, friends and the optical world. A Service of Thanksgiving will take place at St Alkmund's Church, Duffield on Tuesday 4th April at 12:30pm. Family flowers only please donations in Richard's memory to Derbyshire Children's Holiday Centre and Sight Support Derbyshire can be left at the service or via Richard's tribute page at www.wathalls.co.uk Enquiries to Wathall's 01332 504026
