I have just now found this and I am almost sure this must be the Roy I knew from RAF service in the fifties. If I am right Roy served in 2nd TAF at RAF Wildenrath. He played clarinet and formed a jazz group which I certainly enjoyed and they also played on the airwaves at that time. I could never find any word of him later but I would like to think he was successful and that his music was enjoyed by very many.
