Brian BruWALKERWalker October 4th 1941 - November 2nd 2002.Farewell to Brian (Bru).I'd like us to say farewell to Bru,A complex man few people knew.He was honest, generous, gracious and kind,And he certainly had a wonderful mind.As we look across to the sheltering Lea,A group of small boys are having a spree.There's Bru and Fewey and Gordon and Hank,Trying to cross that precarious plank.With pockets full of conkers, marbles and string,Simple boyhood treasures - a wonderful thing.They paddled and played for hours upon end,Leaving anxious mothers with clothing to mend.From humble beginnings you cast your net wide,In search of adventure across the divide.A fine engineer - you achieved your goal,With family around you to keep you whole.Your spirit will dwell for the rest of time,And I'm proud to say you were a brother of mine.So farewell Bru,Say hello to the Clan,This is my tribute to a very dear man.
