I'm sorry to have only just seen this post as I would have come to celebrate such a wonderful man. I have so many fond memories of you and remember always wanting to be in your class when I reached year 6 at Buckland. Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be but you still taught me French. The fond memories of Buckland mean I now work there myself and as my twin daughters go into year 6 this year I will always smile watching them and remembering my time there too. Rest in peace Mr Taylor you were a legend.

I remember you always joking with us kids and always smiling. The best teacher I’ve ever known. 28 years ago...you’d ride past me everyday to and from school and always smiled and waved. Truely a wonderful teacher and lovely man. And I know you will still be smiling now. Rest In Peace...Sir X

I was lucky enough to have Mr Taylor as my teacher twice between, I guess, 1992-1995.
He was the best teacher I ever had and he still comes up in conversation now I'm in my 30's. Shows what an impact he had on people.
I looked up to him and although I don't remember the classes, I do remember the times I stayed after-class to talk to him about home-life and any other questions I had about the World which he was always happy to take the time and answer. I felt like I could talk to him about anything.
That was the true sign of a great teacher.
He's also the guy that, when I was 10, told me "Beef" was Cow... Which turned me vegetarian... to the horror of my parents! =p
I always hoped I would bump into him again, most likely whilst he would be riding his bike and when I was old enough to go get a drink with him.
He will be missed.

Walk like an Egyptian, Mr Taylor <3
