Born into poverty, and raised by loving parents. Your strong work ethic from a young age. Your parents ensured you graduated from High School, whilst they strived at various jobs.
Elvis, you soaked up all the music and gospel preaching all around you.
Mixing in all areas of society and making friends with everyone.
Your desire to have your voice heard, led to a decent man's recording studio, and he nurtured your talent, with young musicians.
Being heard on the radio, and then performing over the Southern States, set a pattern where it was so intense.
So little care for you, and then overworked down the years.
It only took your fans to hear you, and then see you, and we wanted you forever.
But there is only so much a human being can endure.
God took you home, and left us with an aching heart.
Forever missed, eternally adored.
