Today I remember my dad and Lexie’s grampie with love and gratitude. Although our paths were not always close he was still my dad and Lexie’s grampie. His presence in this world helped shape my life in ways seen and unseen.
I will hold with me the good memories and the lesson learned, and the knowledge that he has been part of my journey from the very beginning. Time may have created distance between us, but that does not wash away the bond between a father and a daughter.
I hope he has found peace. I remember him not for the difficulties but for the moments of kindness, the strengths he possessed and the life he lived.
He will always hold a special place in my heart and today I say goodbye with warmth, compassion and love that I have held for him for my lifetime.
Rest in peace dad you have always been remembered, loved and missed.
All our love from Sallie and Lexie xxx
