RichardSOPERLow Fell Peacefully on 4th August aged 82 years, Richard Charles. Dearly loved husband of the late Enid, dearest father of Kathryn and Michael, dear father in law of Colin and Lorna and much loved grandfather of Thomas Richard. Also a dear brother of Betty, dear brother in law of Gordon and much loved uncle of Paul and Chris. Friends invited to service at St Helen's Church, Low Fell on Friday 17th August at 2.15pm. Private cremation to follow. All welcome afterwards at Gateshead Cricket Club. Family flowers only please but donations in lieu may be made at the service for St Helen's Church.

Met Mr Soper a couple of months ago at the Q E Hospital in gateshead after a long 34 years. Mr Soper taught me English at Greenwell school in Gateshead. Without question one of my favourite teachers. So sorry to hear of his passing, a lovely man.
