Aunty Alwen was so kind, generous and thoughtful. I was indebted to her for her hospitality towards me, a foreign student needing a place to stay. She fed me with beautiful healthy home-cooked food, made sure my bed was warm enough with hot water bottles on the body and the feet. She looked after me like her own daughter when I was just a needy student of St Mary's College where she faithfully served all her working life. I will never forget how she has lived a humble and yet adorable Christian life of charity. (Matthew 25:31-46) Rest in peace, Aunty Alwen!
