GillianDERBYSHIREPeacefully on Friday 22nd May at the Douglas Macmillan Hospice, Gill aged 70 years of Cheddleton.

Much loved wife of Mike, and sister to Steve and Corinne. Sister-in-law to Heather and Paul. She will be much missed by us all.

Funeral service to take place at Carmountside Crematorium on Wednesday 17th June at 1.00pm. Please wear bright clothes.

Gill was a warm and generous person and all who knew her will miss her deeply. She was a career nurse, achieving Ward Sister status in Lincolnshire at age 23, and ending her career as Director of Nursing for a group of homes in Hampshire. When she and Mike moved to Cheddleton, they made many friends in the community. She became an active member of the U3A badminton group. She was passionate about her allotment and won 'best kept allotment' on Cheadle Road for a number of years, and will be missed by her allotment neighbours who we are sure will keep the standards high in her memory.
