GeoffreyKANEof Stourport-on-Severn formerly of Hockley Ex pupil of Smith Street School passed away peacefully at home on 21st October 2019, aged 83 years. Devoted husband of Marion and loving father of Julie and Martin. Geoffrey will be dearly missed by his family and friends and will be loved and remembered every day. Funeral Service will take place on Friday 15th November at 12.30pm at St Bartholomew's Church, Areley Kings, followed by cremation at Wyre Forest Crematorium (DY13 8AS) at 1.30pm. I knew Geof in the 1950s when he was a member of the Royal Marine Reserve, we trained together doing parachute training, diving and perfecting canoe techniques. He was a good go ahead type guy who did his full time service in 42 Commando Royal Marines out in Cyprus during the Eoka troubles. I will always remember his friendship and extend my sincere condolences to Marion his children and family. Brian Fox ( ex. 42 Commando RM )
