I was so sad to hear of the passing of Mr Abraham. I regret not having ever got the opportunity to tell him how he changed my life.
As a teenager I struggled with spelling, before dyslexia was commonly tested, and I had no belief that I would ever achieve much in life. Mr Abraham identified my issues, and taught me that what I had to say was far more important than how it was spelled. He taught me strategies to overcome my issues. He believed in my worth.
Without his support, I would never have gone on to achieve my GCSEs, or A levels, I wouldn’t have gone to university, or gone on to teach! I met my husband at university- so my life path would have been hugely different.
Words cannot express the gratitude I hold for Mr Abraham. I think of him often and will never forget his kindness.
My greatest condolences to his family. Xxx
