My heartfelt condolences on the death of a wonderful, caring and kind lady to her family and friends everywhere. Her chatty letters will be sadly missed.

So very sorry and sad to hear of the passing of an old friend. We worked together at Singers during my time there between 1971 and 1978, when for a time I was her section leader on F209 section in Accounts Payable then Results Department. When I left we stayed in touch by letter even when I went to America for 10 years.
My late husband and I went to visit her on occasions in Guildford and had some great times and chats with her. She was a very lovely lady and I will miss the communications we shared. Elaine Mells

So very sorry to read this. I worked with Betty at Singer in Guildford many years ago she used to sit behind me. I remember her bringing in yum yum cake which I still have the recipe. She was a very lovely lady. Sadly missed always in my thoughts. Rest in peace dearest Betty xxx
