David EricBARNETT(Retired Nurse and former KC Stadium Steward).

Died after a short illness Ward 33 Castle Hill Hospital. 30th September 2024.

David was Big Brother and Loyal friend to Vanessa; Friend and Brother-in-law to Barry; Devoted Uncle to Robert and Philip; Devoted Great-Uncle to Lily, Alice, Noah and David; Godfather to many Godchildren; Good friend to Malcolm, Carol, Neil, Elaine, Rosemary, Lesley, Adrian and Lesley.

He was one of Life's true gentleman, helpful neighbour, excellent nurse, confidant to colleagues, friends and patients who would make time for anyone who needed help. He will be sadly missed by so many people.

Thank you to all the carers and friends at Brightside who helped care for David at home and to everyone at Albemarle Care Home who cared for him with love and compassion during his time there.

At David's request there will be a NON-ATTENDED cremation at 8:15am on 16th October 2024.

He wanted to express his thanks to everyone he met on Life's journey for their kindness, fun and laughter that nurtured his dry sense of humour and love of awful jokes and charity shops.

Raise a glass to David's memory and smile.

There will be a JustGiving page in memory of David should you wish to donate to the garden at Ward 33 Castle Hill Hospital where staff and patients can have a peaceful place outside to have their break.
