I had the privilege and pleasure of working with Jane in SLANT(Stirling Council Area Network Team) many years ago.
She was a highly skilled professional who was well respected and loved by colleagues, staff in schools, parents and children whose lives she touched.
There was never a dull moment with Jane, either in the base or the classroom. She was fun loving, always smiling and full
of humorous stories. I especially remember the tale of her disappearing chickens!
Jane will be missed by many.
I am unable to attend the celebration of your life but you and
your family will be very much in my thoughts.

The lovely Jane... the children loved you.
I worked with Jane and the wee ones with the severe disabilities...some had hearing impairment too....so breeze in Jane!!
You were so lovely with the wee ones. It is VERY difficult to persuade parent to work with hearing aids AND another story to persuade tiny children to wear them....trust me.
Jane did it all.
Rest easy Jane...you made a difference. MgtXX

Jane was a very dear friend and work colleague for nearly twenty years. She was so much fun and I was always enthralled by her stories
of her life in London and her life here in Scotland. We met up regularly when we both retired and had so many happy memories of social events over the years. Her health hasn't been good recently but Jane never let it get her down. I will miss her so much as will the many friends she made here in Scotland. I will remember Jane for the kind and loving lady she was. She was so proud of Georgina, Sophie, Hamish and her four grandchildren. My thoughts are with them all. Rest in peace Jane. Love always Mary Traynor and all the family.xx

I'm so v sad to hear of Jane's death. A much loved friend from birth. Sadly I'd been unable to make contact with her the last 5+ years and I therefore began to suspect Jane might not be in good health. So many memories - Miss Butts Nursery School, Oakdene, staying at the Hambledon Cottage, Henley Regatta and being very sick after going on the The Rotor in the fairground. Then later peach juice running down our chins on Exe Beach S of France. Later, with young families, meeting up in Cornwall and surfing; or she would call in on me in Devon on her way down with 3, no maybe 4? dogs & several lovely children. Most recently the tears and laughter with Jane, remembering both her husband and mine, who'd also died suddenly 18 mths earlier: we called it "Dead Husbands Talk". All over bottles of wine/glasses of gin or whilst tackling the overgrown veg garden! Dealing with her menagerie of animals whilst I was staying with her for a few days, I became aware she was beginning to struggle (uncomplainingly it seemed) with her health. Jane was so understanding and supportive but her sense of humour and laugh will stay with me for ever. And she taught me how to play sudoku! Goodbye dear friend. My thoughts are also with with Sally and Richard and of course her family, who she told me about in Xmas letters and I met when they were young. I will think of you on 22nd but Im so sorry I cant make the funeral in person.
