The obituary notice of Alan Louis STANBURY

So sad to hear this news, Alan and Arlene were both step sister and friends to my late mum and her husband George. May they all rest in peace.

Alan was such a special person to all who knew him. A warm loving man who had a delightful sense of humour and love of life. He worked tirelessly for his family and local charities - raising money with Arline for Portland hospital in Nottingham always putting the welfare of others before himself even when he was struck down by the cruel desease of Parkinson’s. We will miss him.

My thoughts and sympathy are with Julie, Melanie, James and families, who have been wonderful in caring for Alan, especially over the last few months.

So sad to hear this news. Alan was a great friend and mentor during my early career at Lloyds Bank. Although he was my boss he was never bossy. Remember fondly our trips to watch West Ham when they played in the local area. Alan was truly a Happy Hammer. Rest in Peace Alan.
