SuzanneALDERSONof Dobbin Close, Higher Cloughfold, died on Monday, December 16, at her home, aged 65. She leaves her husband Robert, sons Alex, Andrew and daughter Kate, daughter-in-law Emma, Laura and son-in-law Richard, grandchildren Sam, Ruby-Anna, Georgia, Henry and Alice. Suzanne attended The Charlotte Mason Teacher Training College in the Lake District and taught at primary schools in Burnley and Rossendale including Lea Bank College. A talented artist and author, she enjoyed time spent with her family and grandchildren. The funeral took place on Friday, January 3 with a service at St Nicholas Parish Church, Newchurch at 9.45am, followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium officiated by Rev Alan Sowerbutts. Donations if desired are for Rossendale Hospice c/o funeral director Josephine Durning for Johnson, Durning and Woods Funeral Service, Haslingden.
