VeronicaDOWNEY(Gosforth). Veronica died peacefully in hospital on Friday 20th March 2015, aged 83 years, dear sister of the late Dorothy and Edward, sister-in-law of the late John Waters, a loving aunt to Stephen, Christine, Patricia and Paul and great aunt to Rebecca, Joseph and Katie. Please meet for Requiem Mass at St. Charles R.C. Church, Gosforth, NE3 1TX on Friday 10th April at 10.00am, followed by a cremation at the West Road Crematorium at 11.15am. Flowers are welcome which may be sent c/o Mark Wait Funeral Service, 19 Arlington Avenue, Newcastle, NE3 4TS, Tel. (0191) 2856635 or if desired donations can be made at the service in aid of the Osteoporosis Society.

Much loved friend and cousin


Veronica you are such a sweet and kind lady. You were an auntie to me, a true and special friend to my late Mum Wynne (Stokoe) and a much loved cousin of my late dad Joe (Allgood) and his brothers, Jim, Frank and Bernard - missed more than words can say - RIP
