Passed peacefully in Fellingate Care Home on 18th August 2024, aged 92 years.
Devoted husband of the late Beattie, much loved dad of Avril and Susan. Edward will be fondly remembered by the rest of the family, including his sons in law Marcos and Ian, grandchildren Aaron, Liam and his wife Alyson, Simon, Philip and his wife Hannah, great grandchildren Joseph, Benjamin, Madeline, Amélie. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral service to take place on Friday 6th September at St Marys Church, Heworth, at 10:15am, followed by committal at Saltwell Crematorium at 11:15am.
Family flowers only please, donations in lieu will be taken on the day with proceeds going to Army Benevolent Fund. A donation box will be available at the church and crematorium.
Special thanks to both Fellingate and Wardley Gate Care Homes, for their incredibly care shown to Edward during his time with them.
