AngelaKERSLAKEIt is with great sadness that Angela's family announces her passing on 17th October, 2024 aged 87 years.

Angela passed away peacefully, at home in Broadclyst, after a short illness, surrounded by her family and will be remembered lovingly by Barry her husband of 65 years, her sons Simon and Marc, her daughter Sarah, and eight treasured grandchildren.

Angela attended teacher training college at Salisbury Cathedral and following her teaching practice in Dagenham she returned to the school where she had been educated, St Wilfrid's School of Exeter, where she taught at the Primary School for her whole career, retiring as Headmistress. Angela was a passionate reader, seasoned traveller and adored spending time with her family.

Her funeral service will be held in St John the Baptist Church, Broadclyst EX5 3EL on Monday, 4th November at 11am.

No flowers please, but donations, if desired, to be shared between Broadlclyst Church and Clyst Caring Friends, may be given at the service in the collection plate or by card reader, or online at www.luxton-funeral.co.uk via Angela's tribute page, where you can share memories or light a virtual candle.

What we leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.

Mrs Kerslake was my teacher in 1962 (my form teacher I seem to recall) at St Wilfrid’s. I was 12 years old, so she was a senior school teacher at that time. I remember her very well and with fondness, as a quietly spoken teacher who had complete control of the class! Rest in peace. Jean Bowers (nee Wilson)
