DavidBACKHOUSEOn Sunday 16th June 2024, our beloved dad passed away. We were all so proud of him. Despite having Alzheimer's, he was still a gentleman and found humour in so many situations. He will be remembered fondly by everyone at Brookfields Private Nursing Home where he was so well looked after. As a family, we took great comfort in knowing the staff cared for him like family and that he was never alone. Our dad was so wise, offering advice and support throughout all of our lives, he was, and always will be our hero, selfless to the end. Dad to Sarah and Lucy, father-in-law to Dave and Steve, Pa to his grandchildren Grace, Molly, Max and Emily. Now reunited with our mum, Julia, resting in peace together again.

Funeral service to be held at Trent Valley Crematorium, Aston on Trent on Wednesday 10th July 2024 at 2.30pm. Donations if desired are invited for the Alzheimer's Society. These can be made online at www.georgesimnett.co.uk or may be given at the service.
