Joan ElizabethHUGHESCherry, after a serious illness, peacefully on 23rd July 2026 at St Michaels Hospice, Hereford, passed away at the age of 84 years.
The funeral was held on 18 August 2026, with a celebration at St Michael and All Angels Church, Little Marcle, Ledbury.
Cherry was the beloved and devoted wife of John Marlais Hughes, who pre-deceased her in February 2024. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her extended family and friends. Cherry was an inspired gardener, a dedicated teacher in Cardiff and Ceredigion, and, with Marlais, played an active role in the community.
