Gillian Armstrong (nee Mee)
I am still shocked to the core that you have passed, you who were always a touchstone for our family, although you were not my biological aunt, you were a true aunt and friend to me since birth.
It is difficult to sum up a life, lived by one as independent and free willed as you Gill.
The strength of character that you gained from your mother coupled with a true joie de vivre!
The effervescent personality and generous heart you were and will always be loved by friends, family, and anyone you ever came across.
I remember the wonderful dinner parties around our house or yours, The birthdays, Christmases.
The nights out with me, you, Mum, Len, Dad, Bernie, Ray and the kids.
The day trip to Plas Talgarth. There were too many wonderful times to even catalogue here.

You are now with your best friends, Moth, Marje, and Bernie for eternity.
My mother Marje, The photo of you both on weekend trip to Paris, which mum loved so much due to the ever kind heart that both you and Len showed when taking mum to Paris, to get over the passing of her own beloved mother Nancy.
Your generosity knew no bounds Gill, I thank you for the beautiful black suede boots you gave me when I was thirteen, which were lucky for me as the first day I wore them. I fell in love with and met my first true love.
Attached is a photo of you and Mum (Mardin) on a weekend to Paris

Gill worked with me at Blythe Colours in the Export Office for five years and we stayed friends ever since. She was always so kind and generous and I was honoured to borrow her wedding dress!! We never missed a birthday or Christmas card and in more recent years we had some happy meals out with our Blythe Girls gang of former workmates. We took Gill for afternoon tea at Wedgwood on her 70th birthday, a party not to be forgotten.
I will miss Gill very much and it was sad that she missed her birthday by four days.
Bless you, my dear friend; I will never forget the fun and laughs we always shared. You were brave and cheerful despite your suffering. Love and hugs.
