RonaldBATESPassed away in hospital on 4th July, after a short illness, aged 85.

Much loved husband of Bridie (deceased), loving dad of Jaqueline and Alan and father-in-law to Mark and Colleen. Treasured grandad to Liam, Rebecca, Luke, Michael, Sean, Lily, and Xavier. Fun great-grandad to Eva, Harry, Amelie, Isabelle, Bonnie, Euan and Angus.

Celebration of Life Mass to be held at 12:00 on Friday 31st July at St William of York's Church, 847 Ecclesall Road, Sheffield, S11 8TL. Followed by cremation at Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium Sheffield.

No flowers please. Donations in lieu if desired, care of Hattersley & Sons www.memorygiving.com/ronbates in support of Ashgate Hospice, ITP, and Meningitis.

I was sad to hear of Ron's passing. He was a dear man, warm, friendly and kind. He had a great sense of humour and was quite a tease. He cared very much for his family, especially for his
grandchildren and great grandchildren and I'm sure they will miss him very much, as many will.
