ValerieMATTHEWS(née Sharples) aged 78, of North Hykeham, passed away peacefully on 18th August 2026.
Valerie was a truly kind and gentle person who radiated love and kindness wherever she went. She had a warmth about her that touched the lives of everyone who knew her, and she will be remembered with great affection for her caring nature, her gentle spirit and the love she gave so freely.
A much-loved mum to Sharon and Graham, Valerie meant so much to her family and was a cherished friend to many. She will be deeply missed, not only by her family but also by her circle of dear friends, who were so fortunate to have shared part of their lives with her.
Although she is no longer with us, Valerie's love, kindness and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Funeral service: Lincoln Crematorium 15th September 2026 at 3.00pm
The service will be followed by a wake at The Lincoln Green, Lincoln Road, North Hykeham, where family and friends are warmly invited to come together and remember Valerie.
There is no formal dress code - please come as you feel comfortable.
Family flowers only, please. If you wish to make a donation in Valerie's memory, donations to a charity close to her heart would be gratefully received.
