Mary AnneSHONEIt is with broken hearts that we share the passing of our lovely Mum, Ann Shone, who passed away at The Royal Stoke University Hospital on Monday 10th November 2025 aged 80 years. Surrounded by our love and gratitude for the beautiful soul we were so very lucky to have as our Mum, we, her Daughters Stephanie & Kelly, were there by her side holding her hand until she passed away peacefully. Anne was a devoted Mum to her Daughters and the late Scott, loving Wife of the late John, Cherished Nana of Danielle & Caitlin, loved and respected Mother-in-Law of Phil and Mick and Cousin to Jean. She will be deeply missed by us all but we hope and pray that she is now at peace, reunited with her beloved Son, Scott, Husband John and Parents Annie & Billy, something we know she has longed for. Anne leaves behind the most wonderful memories created with her Husband, Children and Grandchildren as well as wider family & friends and we invite you to come and share them with us. Funeral service & burial to take place at Carmountside Crematorium on Monday 8th December 2025 at 10:45am. Those wishing to attend please meet at the crematorium. Family Flowers preferred with donations welcome to The Douglas Macmillan Hospice, a charity Mum supported for many years.

My lovely mum, I have no words for the grief of losing you, totally lost without you. Not seeing you or calling you every day is the hardest thing.
Beautiful inside and out, you were just the best mum and I was blessed to have you for almost 60 years.
So many good qualities, you were the finest example of how to be the best of oneself.
I love you dearly, telling you often, and will miss you always and forever.

My deepest and sincere condolences go out to you Ann’s family. I truly loved my time with your mum and nana. I was privileged to have her call me a friend - her laughter and mischief will really be missed. I know you were a very close, loving family who worked extremely hard, through tough times to give Ann anything she wanted, shared holidays and celebrations with her. Her passing has left a hole in my life and pain in my heart. But I know she’s reunited with those that have passed that she loved as dearly as those she leaves behind. Rest without pain or worry my lovely friend…I’ll remember you always xxxxx
