DANIELLE BECCANIn tribute to 14-year-old Danielle Beccan who died in a tragic drive-by shooting near her home in St Anns, Nottingham on 9th October 2004.She and her friends were returning from the annual goose fair at the time of the shooting.Since her death Danielle has become a figurehead of efforts to end violence in Nottingham and a memorial trust has been set up in her memory.Its website describes her as “bright, bubbly, full of energy and fun. From an early age she was a real performer and had a flair for acting. At school she excelled academically and in sport she often achieved grade 'A' test scores. Like most teenage girls she loved fashion, music and dancing.”Her mother says: “My Danielle was and is to me a beautiful, spectacular, blessed and much loved daughter. I am so proud to be her mum, to know that even though she has gone from us now, fantastic and amazing things are happening because of her.”
