This is the gentleman from England I told you about, who has been visiting every one in Los Angeles! John remarked isn’t he doing a swell job for handicapped children.
The three of us chatted for about ten minutes, then at my suggestion they all signed a couple of autograph books, and posed for a couple of photographs, displaying the Variety Club logo.
Then all to soon my visit with the “Denver Carrington Household” was drawing to a final episode, just like an episode of the series; all I needed was Dynasty theme music to drift in, and I would believe I was dreaming all this, it was a mementos experience, and totally unforgettable
As I drove back up Santa Monica Boulevard, to the Brentwood Motel, I felt as pleased as punch with myself; what an adventure, nothing could cap this experience.

Naturally we talked about the series, how it was being received in England, and did I like the production, I then asked if I might take a couple of photographs, why sure go right ahead; I set up a few shots, after which John suggested that we go down to the production set: following him down we were presently in the Carrington Family Study, while technical crew members were wheeling dollies around feverishly, setting up the next scene to be filmed.
Look around further Barry! John suggested to me, as though it really was the Blake Carrington residence, and I will catch up with you when “Joan” arrives.
I cautiously wandered about and I was never challenged for an hour or more, soaking up the atmosphere all man made, then John approaches from another direction, come along with me, he beckoned I have some one to introduce to you!
Yet again, we climbed the staircase to the make up department, entered a similar room to his, and I was in the presence of two-screen goddess’s Joan Collins. And Linda Evans.
I was momentarily stunned by how beautiful they both looked, but I soon composed myself after introductions were over.

I have been privileged to meet up with this small selection of M.G.M. finest.
But the lion no longer roar’s; only John Forsythe’s Porsche car.
And the Aaron Spellings company director, when he roars action, to the actors on the Dynasty Set which I had been invited to spend the morning visiting, courtesy of an old friend.
Good Morning! I am Mister Iddon, John Forsythe is expecting me!
Yes Sir: we are expecting you would you like to come this way! Intimating for me to follow, we climbed a staircase walked a few yards along a corridor then it was, here we are Sir, please come in.
The next second John smiling entered from a make up room shook my hand, and exclaimed, you found us all right then Barry!
He hadn’t forgotten my name, which actually made me feel wanted, shall we sit over here, and have a chat first, and then I will show you around?
