I worked with Ian at Slaters. He had a wealth of experience in the Motor Industry and his experience, professionalism and good humour was appreciated by myself as a Director. He was hard working and conscientious and always had time for people. Latterly in his time of illness I visited him several times and we laughed about the ‘old times’. He told me how proud he was of his family and in particular his children and grandchildren. He was delighted to show me photographs of them all. It was also evident he was up for fighting the illness he had. He was immensely brave and a inspiration. I as well as many others will miss home as a friend and colleague. God bless you Ian.
