Mick was a true Gentleman, kind, funny and an absolute joy to be around, a character who will be truly missed, but will bring a smile to anyones face when remembered in conversation. I hope he is reunited with his true love, Mev, and they are toasting each other with a glass of wine and a pint of cooking bitter. So sorry we couldn't get over to celebrate Micks life, he is in our thoughts as are all his friends and family. God Bless Mick you are a legend. Wade & Colleen.

I first met Mick in the late 80’s early 90’s when I started working at his shop in Kidsgrove as a Saturday lad. Both Mick and Mev were lovely people. As much as Mick used to tease me, he had a heart of gold and they certainly broke the mold when they made him.

He’ll be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Such sad news to hear of Mike's passing,I remember him from the '70's at the butchers in Goldenhill,he was a gentleman then & this never left Mike, he was up for a chat & a laugh many times. When Mike went to Kidsgrove ,Doigs Butcher's , I met him again,as I said before he was always a Gentleman,a lovely, kind man ,so very sadly missed.
Love Heather xx
