Meeting Peter and Maureen at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado, while I, Mary Lou Alexander was an Ambassador for Continental Airlines. We would greet folks as they entered the show and encourage them to sign an entry form to win free Airline Tickets. Peter and Maureen signed their tickets and so started the conversation that led to a longtime friendship between them and my husband, Wendell. Every year they would fly into Denver for the Stock Show and we would pick them up in our car and drive them into our Rocky Mountains for "site-seeing". Maureen handy with her camera would take pictures of our special sights. Buffalo Bills grave on top of the mountain out of Golden and then down highway 70 and sighting a herd of buffalo we pulled off and parked. Great pictures Maureen took of those animals. They enjoyed meeting our children and coming to our home, they loved putting the puzzle I would have already started in our kitchen, Peter and Maureen had that whole picture finished in no time. Sadly after Wendell Dear passed away in 1997, my daughter, DeAnn and her spouse, Jerry and I flew to London where we stayed with them in their home. They gave us the greatest site seeing tour over all of London and their home in Forest Green. Always got in touch with us with Birthday and Christmas Cards. Faithful and loving friends. We will miss you Peter, knowing you are looking out for all of us from Heaven. Maureen, Dear Sister in Christ, I'm sending you a great big hug and daily Prayers Knowing Father God has you in His Care.
