I only knew Maxine through the Dumfries Table Tennis Club so I didn’t know her very well. I instinctively liked her from the first time we met and the more we chatted and played table tennis the more I
liked her. I found Maxine kind, caring, open and honest with a gentle humour and a great sense of fun. After today’s service for Maxine, having heard the very fine tribute to her and hearing so much about the wonderfully special person that she was I really wish there had been more time for Maxine and I to get to know each other better. She is someone I would have loved to have had as a good friend.
