GlynJONESJONES - GLYN, August 8, 2020. Glyn died peacefully at his home near Chester after a long illness which he managed with great courage aged 73 years.He was very much loved by his wife of over 48 years, Gill and was the proud and loving dad of his children Gemma and Gwyn as well as being the cherished Taid of Brooke. He was born in Beaumaris, the son of a former lifeboat coxswain Harold Jones and wife Margaret. Glyn was a former lifeboat crew member and telephone engineer before embarking on a successful career as a dispensing optician, having his own practice in partnership with an ophthalmic optician. His main passion was sailing although he had many other interests, especially music and art. He was always good natured and courteous and will be very sadly missed by all who ever knew him. Funeral at St John the Baptist Church, Guilden Sutton followed by a cremation service at Blacon Crematorium. Family flowers only. Numbers attending will be limited due to the Covid restrictions.
