John DerekKIRBYPeacefully passed away on 31st May 2023, aged 82. Beloved Husband of Jill, and a fantastic Father and Grandfather to Andrew, Paul, Ellis, and Leon. Served the District as Sub Postmaster, District Councillor, County Councillor, Magistrate, and Mayor of Ramsgate. Retired to Driffield, East Yorkshire. A service is to be held at The East Riding Crematorium on 30th June 2023 at 11:30am. Family flowers only please. Donations to Marie Curie and Macmillan Nurses. My sincere condolences to Jill
John was very supportive of Nelson Crescent R.A. and came to our meetings whenever he could and helped us financially.
He really was one of our Best councillors and dedicated to Ramsgate.

Sad to hear that John has died. I knew him for many years, as I live near Grange Road, where he was the postmaster. A good man, who lived a helpful life. Rest in peace
