HughMCCONNACHIERev Hugh McConnachie, aged 83 years, peacefully passed away at home in Straiton, Ayrshire surrounded by his family, on Tuesday 3rd December 2024 following a short illness.

Beloved husband of Fiona, loving father to Cheryl, Martin and Polly, devoted grandfather to his six grandchildren.

He will be missed so very much.

Former pastor of Westray and Gourock Baptist Churches, following a long career in IBM.

Hugh's funeral will take place on Friday 20th December at 12noon in St Cuthbert's Parish Church, Straiton followed by interment in Straiton Cemetery at 1.30pm. All welcome. Please allow extra travel time due to roadworks and diversions on A77 and limited parking in Straiton village.

Dear Fiona and family,

My heartfelt condolences to you.
I am so very saddened to hear of Hugh’s passing. It was such an honour for me to have known him.
Hugh was a wonderful man on many levels. A close and happy work colleague for many years as well as a beautiful dependable friend. So good to see this picture of his happy face once more.
