Peacefully passed away at home, on Sunday 11th August 2024, with his family around him, John, aged 83 years.

Dear Husband of Shirley, loving Dad of Steven and Christopher, devoted Grandad of William, Anna, Emma and Jessica.

Funeral Service to be held at Northumberland Crematorium on Thursday 22nd August 2024 at 1:45pm.

Family flowers only. Donations, if desired to Cancer Research UK c/o

Alan D Haile Funeral Services, 5 James Street, Seahouses, NE68 7XZ.

Family and friends please meet at the crematorium.

I have known John for many years, initially as a business associate and then as a dear friend. John was always
great company, a great raconteur, ever willing to debate any issue, and of course always entertaining with his
keen wit. Caroline and I spent many a happy time with John and Shirley and our hearts go out at this difficult time
to both Shirley and family. Never vanilla, he will be sadly missed by all and I have lost a very special friend.

Thinking of all of John's family and friends at this sad time. I met John at Price Waterhouse many years ago, perhaps the 1970s, and I'm sure that a lot of his colleagues will be sending condolences as well. "Little Irene"
