Roger CliveSEARLEProfessor Roger Clive Searle Roger died peacefully at home on Tuesday, 26th of November 2024, aged 80 years, with his beloved wife Margery by his side. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. Roger was a marine geophysicist with an international reputation who contributed to the understanding of mid-ocean ridges. He was a Fellow of the American Geophysical Union and recipient of the Price Medal from the Royal Astronomical Society. A funeral service will be held at St Andrew's Church, Corbridge, at 11:30am on Monday the 30th of December, followed by a committal ceremony, for family only, at 1:15pm Mountsett Crematorium, Stanley.
