DorothySELLECK OBEPeacefully on 15th Sept. 2022 at Nightingale House Hospice, of Wrexham, aged 89 years. Funeral service at Pentrebychan Crematorium, Wrexham on Tuesday, 25th October 2022 at 1:00pm. Family flowers only please but donations if desired may be given in memory for Children in Need. Dorothy was a close friend to our family for more than 60 years and it’s a testament to her personal impact, her connection and her kindness that 3 generations of Bainbridges remember her so fondly. She was an advocate of all things Welsh and a pioneer and role model for women who has inspired my own daughters, amongst many others, that great things can be achieved, whatever the challenges. I remember well that Dorothy always had a story to tell - almost invariably with a smile on her face and followed by an infectious laugh. Missed but remembered - a life so well lived.
Rest in peace. Gorffwys mewn heddwch.

Dorothy was a shining light and part of many childhood memories,
Her passion for Wales and the welsh language was second to none and she would send a volume of historic tales and myths in welsh every year. She was such a great friend to my Father, Trevor and even as she faced her own challenges she always made time for him. It was a great privilege to have enjoyed her friendship. May she rest peacefully.

Dorothy became part of our lives at an early age. Originally a colleague and friend of our father and mother, she became our friend as well, and will be missed. Also proud to have known someone who achieved so much in her great life.

Dorothy I had the privilege to have met you prior to doing a challenge for Nightingale House Hospice and what a rally call you gave us and inspire us for the trip. Thank you - you were an inspirational lady x
