Anthony JamesSMETHURSTPeacefully on 4th December, after a short illness, having enjoyed his long retirement in Cumbria. Tony, of Shap, Cumbria, formerly a teacher for many years at Langley Junior School. An inspirational teacher to many. Very sadly missed by his dearest wife Jean and all his family. Funeral service on Monday 16th December at Beetham Hall Crematorium at 11:00am. No formal dress at family's request. No flowers please, if desired donations in memory of Tony may be made to Patterdale Mountain Rescue and left at the service or sent c/o Walkers Funeral Directors, Tynefield House, Penrith, CA11 8HY.
