Janet QuintrellTRELOARMA (Oxon), RWS, FRGS At home on Wednesday 30th October 2019 after a short illness. Wife of John Hale-White; mother of Tamsyn, Paul, Alice and Arthur; grandmother and great-grandmother; sister of Peter (dec'd), Angela and William; daughter of the late Arthur and Doris Treloar. Funeral service at Ludgvan Parish Church on Saturday 16th November at noon. All welcome. Flowers or the family's preferred choice of donations, in Janet's memory, for 'Embrace the Middle East' may be sent to Marcus Wilkinson, Funeral Director, Alfred Smith & Son, 31 Clarence Street, Penzance TR18 2NX (01736) 362592.

I was very sorry - indeed, shocked - to hear that Jan had passed away.

She and John were my neighbours in Thorne Road SW8.

We kept in touch and became good friends when they moved to Wandsworth Road. I used to pop-in and see them.

I always enjoyed Janet's company. She was invariably warm, opinionated, and thoroughly politically incorrect.

I will miss her, just as I miss John now that he is in Cornwall.

I would like to send condolences to John from myself and on behalf of the Mark Rutherford Society. I rememember meeting Janet a number of times, in Cornwall and London and at MRS events. When you feel able it would be good to hear from you.
