LilianHEYWOODpassed away at the Royal Blackburn Hospital peacefully on Thursday, January 23. Born in Blackburn, Lilian worked at Newmans slipper factory from leaving school at 14, until starting a family with her husband Clifford. Together they had three children, Christine, Ann and Colin. Lilian and Clifford opened a fish and chip shop in Richmond Road, Accrington in 1966 and retired to Oswaldtwistle in 1995. Together they enjoyed caravanning and were members of the Caraluxe touring club. Lilian enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her time at home she liked watching soaps and game shows on TV and doing crosswords. Latterly, Lilian spent a lot of time on social media and enjoyed keeping contact with extended family members. Lilian will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Her funeral service was conducted by Rev Martin Joss at Accrington Crematorium, on Wednesday, February 5.
