It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my beautiful sister, Pat on 22nd December 2024 at the age of 69. Precious daughter of the late Heather & Joe, loving sister, aunt and cousin. Following a short illness in Watford General Hospital, she slipped away from us taking a piece of my heart with her.

A service will be held at South Shields Crematorium on 20th January 2025 at 2pm, followed by refreshments at The Lakeside Inn, East Fellgate Farm, Wardley, NE10 8YD.

Family flowers only and donations welcomed for West Herts Hospitals Charity. I would also like to thank Co-op Funeralcare South Shields for their help at this sad time.

Tribute to Pat on Behalf of the Birchwood Bungalow Team

On behalf of all the staff at Birchwood Bungalow, we would like to honor the life of a remarkable woman—Pat. It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to someone who brought so much light, love, and strength into our lives. Pat was not just someone we supported; she was family to us, and her presence made a lasting impact on every one of us.
Pat was a woman who truly knew what she wanted. Despite her health challenges, she faced every day with courage and determination. Her strength and resilience were nothing short of inspiring. She was a fighter in every sense of the word, and her perseverance taught us all the value of hope and gratitude, even in the most difficult of times.
Pat had a way of making her presence felt in the most beautiful ways. Her love for music would fill the bungalow with joy, and we will forever cherish the moments when she smiled and tapped along to her favorite tunes. She had a radiant energy that made every celebration and party so special. Pat loved to dress up and always carried herself with elegance and grace—she was truly one of a kind.
We all knew how much she loved her jam sandwiches, and it saddens us deeply that we couldn’t make them for her one last time. But even in her absence, we will remember those little things that made her happy and brought us closer together.
Pat, you were more than a resident to us; you were a source of joy and inspiration. Thank you for allowing us to care for you and for being part of our lives. It was an honor to provide you with love and support, and we take comfort in knowing that you are now at peace. We believe you are smiling down on us, free from pain and suffering, surrounded by music, beauty, and joy.
We miss you dearly, Pat. The bungalow feels a little emptier without you, but your memory will forever remain in our hearts. Thank you for the laughter, and the love you brought into our lives. Rest well, our lovely lady,

from the Team..

Pat was truly unique, and over the two years I cared for her, I grew so fond of her and came to love her deeply. Her warmth was felt in so many ways—the touch of her hands when she let you hold them, the peaceful expression on her face as she enjoyed a head massage, and the way her warm, occasional smiles could light up a moment. She had a beautiful spirit, loved her teddies, and was strong and determined, always knowing what she wanted. Whether it was enjoying her favorite meal, moving her head and body to music she loved, or needing her space, she had a way of communicating that we came to understand together.

It hurts so much to say goodbye, but her memory, her smiles, and the joy she brought will always be cherished. I truly loved caring for her, sharing those special moments, and seeing her unique personality shine. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in my heart forever.

Condolence Message in Honour of Pat
I had the privilege of knowing Pat for almost four years during her time at Birchwood Bungalow, and over that time, I came to love her so dearly. Pat was such a loving lady who always knew what she wanted. Despite her health challenges, she was a true fighter—she fought bravely until the very end.
I was truly hoping she would make it out of the hospital so I could prepare her favorite sandwich with jam. It saddens my heart deeply to say goodbye. But, Pat, thank you for allowing us to honor you and take care of you. We poured all our love and care into every moment we shared with you, and I believe that you are now at peace and happy.
Pat, my lovely lady with the most beautiful skin, rest easy. I hope you are enjoying your music, as you always loved it so much. I hope you are looking as stunning as ever, dressed in the lovely outfits you cherished. I hope you’re savoring your bread with jam and having the parties you so loved when we celebrated in the house.
I miss you so much, Pat. There’s no more pain for you now. May your sweet and gentle soul rest in eternal peace. Amen.
