I only ever met Margaret a few times, but have heard so much about her and her life over the yearsfrom my friend Patrick. A wonderful woman who achieved so much, not least her total devotion, support and care for her family. Margaret will be sadly missed.

Lovely Mo, we will miss you dearly. You have made a permanent impression on all the family and many beyond. John, Mimi and I considered Macc our second home growing up because you made it that, letting us maraud around, commandeer the "PS2 room", engaging us with arts and crafts. You made it Al and Dan's home too -- but we won't hold that against you.

You were a brilliant person. You came from humble beginnings (and never lost touch) but were one of the most erudite people I have known. I think you read my university texts more thoroughly than I did. Your love of language and literature, an inspiration to me, persisted to the end.

Your wit and sense of humour never left you either and we'll all remember many laughs. Every time I look at an ungrammatical sign I'll remember your exasperation at such things.

I hope all those whose lives you have touched can channel some of you kindness and curiosity and wisdom in your absence, Mo. We will love and miss you always xxx
