StuartBECKOn 3rd July 2024, Stuart Beck, Abercromby Road, Castle Douglas, peacefully at home. Much loved husband of Lucie, adored father of Lewis, Ewan and Anna, and loving papa of Holly, Cameron, Lily, Leo and Kitty; not forgetting Robbie the dog.

Funeral service will take place on Tuesday 16th July in Balmaghie Church at 11am, followed by interment in Castle Douglas Cemetery.

All friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please. If so desired, donations to local Marie Curie nurses may be given at the service.

I am very sad to hear of Stuart’s death. We lost touch since his retirement, but I can say he literally saved my career when I was being mistreated by colleagues in my department.
We spent many creative hours plotting out a way to integrate children’s services. Sadly this did not turn out as we intended.
My condolences to his family. A fine man.
