Neil was a supportive and respected colleague, who was always there to help out. He never lost his sense of humour even when the going got tough. Many fond memories of the early days of community libraries at Hertfordshire Libraries, and all the hard work that Neil put in, as well as the laughs we shared along the way. A true professional and also a lovely man.

Many fond memories of a thoughtful, kind and professional colleague. Neil was always supportive and willing to help out. He always retained his sense of humour even when the going got tough and was a pleasure to work with, as well as a genuine and lovely man. Sadly missed - thoughts are with your beloved Chris.

Neil was instrumental in the setting up of our Community Library in Sawbridgeworth. His friendly approach was so welcome and he was supportive in all we did. We were sorry when he left the area, but the memories of him stay on, it’s a sad loss to all who knew him.

Dear Neil, I am remembering all the fun (and sometimes frustrating) times we had working at Harpenden Library and at CSU together. You were always a voice of calm and reason to turn to as a friend. Thank you for looking after my house key for all those years! With love from Margaret x

I hope it means the hall gets to put on lots more activities which bring the local community together.
