KennethMEAKINPeacefully passed away after a short illness on Thursday 27th August 2026 at The Douglas Macmillan Hospice, Ken aged 82 years of Talke Pits. The dearly loved husband of the late Sue, much loved dad of Jonathan and Alan and a very dear brother, brother in law and uncle. Ken will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Funeral service and cremation to take place at Bradwell Crematorium on Wednesday 16th September 2026 at 12 noon. Will anyone wishing to attend kindly meet at the crematorium.

Family flowers only please, donations preferred in memory of Ken for The Douglas Macmillan Hospice c/o the family or Sentinel Notices Online

Goodbye my life long friend, I will never forget you, you were one of the hardest workers in Talke pitts, we all grew up together in Crown Bank Crescent played out till all hours and were safe' I am sorry that I hit you on the forehead with that rounders bat when we were at Talke Council School I swung the bat back to hit the ball and you were standing behind and the bat hit you on the forehead that's how we first met, we were only 6yrs old, glad I came to see you 3 weeks ago. rip my ex school mate we wer very good mates when you lived in Crown-bank-cresant and I lived in Ashenough road we wer in same class at school at clough hall ad some fun Ken in and out of school what we ad in common was we are both same age, so goodbye my best mate and freind .........................
