David JohnSELLSOf Deerfold, Lingen. David passed away peacefully with his family by his side
on Saturday May 16th, 2026, aged 81 years.
Beloved husband of Gillian. Loving Father of James and the late Philip.
Cherished Grandfather of Sylvie, Mabel, Arthur and Maisie.
Funeral service will take place at St Michael & All Angels Church, Lingen, Herefordshire, SY7 0DY
on Friday June 19th, at 11:30am.
Followed by a post-funeral reception at Lingen Village Hall and then a short committal service at
Hereford Crematorium at 3:15pm, for immediate family members.
David asked that his ashes be placed at the grave of his son, Philip, in High Halden in Kent.
As many of David and Gillian's family and friends are still in the South East, and are finding it increasingly difficult to travel, we will be holding a second celebration in the expectation many will not be able to come to his funeral
on the 19th. The 'Kent event' will take place in the summer, and we will share those details once
they've been confirmed.
We hope to see you at one, or both of these.
No flowers by request. Kind donations in David's memory will be given to Water Aid.
