Christine AnnLLOYD (JENKINS)Christine sadly died on 29.6.26 in Greater Manchester.
Beloved wife of David, mother of Rhiannon, grandmother of Katie and Sarah, sister
of Marguerite and Philip and aunt of Catherine.
Christine was a pupil at Cardiff High School, where she was renowned for her
intellect and sports prowess. She studied at Barry Training College, specialising in
P.E. She was respected as ahead of her time in terms of her dance drama productions
and sports displays.
As well as representing Wales in Netball and Lacrosse, Christine was Head of P.E. in
various Grammar and Comprehensive schools in Wales and England. She also taught
at St. Cyres School in Penarth.
Besides being an outstanding international sports team player, Christine is also
remembered by many for her successful establishment of Lacrosse in various Primary
and Comprehensive schools and colleges throughout Wales and also into England.
Christine believed everyone should enjoy sport regardless of ability.
