Thank you for the numerous cards, phone calls and offers of help and support, both practically and emotionally. We offer heartfelt thanks to the many family and friends who attended the service and funeral tea afterwards, and for the generous contributions to the nominated charities. A total of ?280 was split between the RSPCA Halifax and Huddersfield branch and the British Heart Foundation who were very grateful for the donations. A special thanks to Ian Grange for his sincere contribution as celebrant at the Crematorium service, Paul Richmond for his excellent singing and Becky Gregson-Flynn for her sensitive and poignant reading of the poem. Extra special thanks are due to Hilary Scholes and her team for the wonderful spread at the wake. A special word of thanks to medical and nursing staff at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary Wards 20 and 11 for their care of John throughout his illness and final days. Finally, Diana would particularly like to thank Skye, Clive and the funeral team at Pearson's for their superb support and professional, yet gentle, guidance through all the difficult process. This was gratefully appreciated. To those who helped in any way, your contribution made the loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
