Evelyn RheaJONESnee Coates Rhea passed away peacefully and gently aged 79 years, at the University Hospital of Wales on Sunday 29th September 2019 with her loving family at her side. Beloved wife and soulmate of Reg for over 61 years, greatly loved mum of Naomi, Ross and Gregg, much loved grandma to Milly, Claudi, Sam, Nic, Owen, Iolo and Idris. No flowers please, but Rhea wished for any donations in lieu to go to Bobath. Attire to include a splash of colour to reflect how much Rhea brightened up our lives. Resting at Green Willow Funeral Home 31-33 St Isan Rd Heath until the Funeral Service at All Saints Church Rhiwbina Cardiff CF14 6NB on Monday 14th October at 1.45pm followed by a short committal service at the Wenallt Chapel Thornhill Crematorium after the service. I worked with Rhea as a very new midwife, and she along with all the other wonderful night NA's, looked after me and taught me so much. I have wonderful memories of her. My Mum had died, and I remember saying to Rhea, after I met a lovely man, that Mum had always told me when I was young that if I ever got lost, to find a policeman. I lost my Mum and found a policeman (my now husband), her reply was that no my Mummy had sent him to me. It always gave me some comfort to feel that my Mum was still with me. I've seen Rhea, more recently, at midnight mass in All Saints, since moving from Roath. I'm unable to come to the funeral, but send all my love and condolences in the loss of such a pure gentlewoman.
