John HartBURNPassed away suddenly in hospital on Sunday 21st August aged 81 years. A retired Merchant Navy Captain and River Pilot on the Tyne. Beloved husband of Margaret, loved dad of John and Libby and granda to Dash and Dane. Forever in our hearts. "...(And all I ask is)...quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick's over." Family flowers only please but donations kindly received to The Coble and Keelboat Society and the Tynemouth RNLI. The funeral will be held at Tynemouth Crematorium on Thursday 8th September at 10.30am with refreshments at The Spread Eagle in Preston Village thereafter E Turnbull & Son Albion Road North Shields NE29 0HE 0191 257 1201

Het John 1963/4 studying for Second Mate's at Shields., and later when he represented us at Blyth for the UKPA.
His amiable disposition and wise Counsel were much valued regardin matters Pilotage.
"The wheel's kick and the winds song -Masefield were very apprpriate!
